You have 10 days to request a STAY with the DMV. Time is of the essence act now and either talk to a lawyer or contact the DMV.

The DMV requires that your request a stay of your license within 10 days of the arrest. Requesting a stay means that you will be given a stay on the suspension of your license until the DUI hearing is heard at the DMV Driver Safety Office. Requesting a STAY on time is a critical part of the DUI defense, many people tend to make the timing mistake causing them to lose their license in the interim.

Requesting a stay allows for the person being charged with the DUI to make arrangements and prepare for the loss of the license or its suspension if that is the expected outcome.
